Learn Spanish, both the language and culture, in a medical context. Gain international experience and practice. See how it can change your life.
MedSpanish is a language and cultural immersion program, specifically designed for pre-med and medical students, nurses, paramedics, residents, physicians, emergency and general medical personnel, and other medical professionals that interact with Spanish speaking patients.
The intensive, one-on-one classes are focused on enabling students to interview patients, take medical histories and understand intercultural concerns. Because of our unique relationship with the Mexican Ministry of Health, we are able to offer hands-on ambulance and/or hospital experience, putting the students in real life situations and providing them with both the opportunity to practice newly acquired language skills and a clearer understanding of Latino culture.
Our primary training center is located in San Miguel de Allende. UNESCO designated this colonial gem as a World Heritage Site. Nestled six thousand feet up in the Sierra Madres, this colorful and historic town is an ideal location to combine study with vacation. Have family visit, too. The MedSpanish program is flexible and easily designed around your activities. Take advantage of our 300 days of sun with accessible day and weekend trips, highlighting this beautiful landscape and immersing you in the Latin culture. If your schedule permits, plan your visit to San Miguel around one the many religious, cultural and artistic events.
Also consider our MedSpanish on line program. If you have Skype,we can teach you in real time with our experienced tutors with flexible contact hours. Brush up on your Spanish before coming to San Miguel. Maintain and improve your skills after your MedSpanish program is completed.
