EARN CME CREDIT

"UNM CME policy, in compliance with the ACCME Standards of Commercial Support, requires that     anyone who is in a position to control the content of an activity disclose all relevant financial relationships they have had within the last 12 months with a commercial interest related to the content of this activity.

The MedSpanish faculty and staff have no financial interest or relationship with the manufacturer of any health care products or services. Promotion of such products or services is strictly prohibited by MedSpanish faculty or staff or any of its affiliates. Signed disclosure statements are available for inspection"

MedSpanish offers up to 50 CME (Continuing Medical Education) credits to practicing physicians through our affilation with the University of New Mexico. Clinical rotations are not required to earn CME credit.

CME credits are awarded as follows
  • Up to 50 credits may earned in medical Spanish by participating in a MedSpanish program.  Physicians may engage for as little as 1 week.  Following the tenure of their language instruction, CME candidates are administered post test exam. The number of contact hours determines the number of CME Credits obtained. 
  • Up to 9 additional credits may be earned in cultural literacy and awareness through a CLAS standardized online training course which also includes a brief exam.
